QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024
To ensure its progression towards developing a sustainable environment, The IIU has integrated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its research, education, and community outreach programmes. Recently, these integrational efforts of the university received recognition as the ‘QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024’ ranked IIUI 2nd overall in Pakistan and 1st among private sector universities in the country. Furthermore, it has been ranked 123rd in Asia and 545th globally.
The ‘Sustainability Ranking 2024’ includes 1,403 institutions ranked from 95 countries compared to 1498 universities ranked in QS World University Rankings 2024, which underscores the overall commitment of universities worldwide to participate and compete with contemporary universities in the field of sustainability.
To qualify for the sustainable rankings, institutions must first be eligible for QS World University Rankings, QS Rankings by region, or QS Rankings by subject. The rankings framework highlights how universities are taking action to tackle the world’s greatest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues.
This year’s sustainability ranking testifies that IIUI, through its research, teaching, strong governance, and community engagement, is advancing towards sustainable development, ensuring that generations of students to come are educated on the importance of this topic.
