Training on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The Office of Sustainability (OSus) at the IIUI has initiated a standardized training program aim at raising awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among students, faculty, and staff. Through a series of training sessions, the participants are educated on both the social and environmental aspects of sustainability. The training sessions cover topics such as “Empowering Communities: Understanding the Social Aspects of Sustainability and Responsibilities of Citizenship” and “Climate Change Adaptation & Mitigation Strategies.”, these workshops encourage interactive discussions and hands-on learning. To gauge participants’ understanding and knowledge of sustainability concepts, assessments are integrated into the training sessions, encompassing group activities, quizzes, and MCQ’s tests. Upon meeting the requisite criteria, participants receive certifications, acknowledging their learning from training on sustainable practices. Additionally, OSus plans to extend these trainings to the local community to enhance sustainability knowledge among citizens. Through these efforts, IIUI’s Office of Sustainability aims to cultivate a culture of environmental consciousness and social responsibility. Through these efforts, IIUI cultivates a culture of sustainability, equipping its community with the knowledge and skills to become agents of positive change in a rapidly evolving world.
