One of the mission goals of IIUI is to reinforce the culture of research, innovation and commercialization. The university has been successfully excelling as a research based institution by prioritizing scholarly excellence at the core of its mission. The progress is reflected in the massive number of research publications in a wide array of fields under the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC).

As the university is committed to contribute towards United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the research is one the major aspects to achieve these goals. In order to promote and support the innovative research, ideas and products related to the sustainability, the University has established an exclusive Centre of Sustainability Research (CSR); an interdisciplinary research center that works on local and global sustainability challenges. This research center doesn’t not only encourage the researchers to brainstorm and focus on sustainable solutions to real world challenges, but it will also help to nourish their ideas and provide all necessary support to showcase these ideas on the relevant forums for knowledge sharing and commercialization.

The research center incorporates Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into Curricula and Research at the undergraduate and post graduate levels and encourage the researchers by inviting their sustainable ideas and solutions through national and international conferences, and offering exclusive incentives to the distinguished researchers for best researches, ideas and products. We have a dedicated team of experts with extensive experience in the relevant field who are leading this research center.
